Mr. Downing a graduate of Queens University and the University of Toronto has over 30 years of experience as a senior geologist working for several corporations and as a consultant on surface and underground gold and base metal exploration and production projects in British Columbia and around the world. His early experience centered on exploration but since 1989 his career has expanded into mining, the environment and technology. Mr. Downing has been involved in the exploration and pre-production of an open pit and underground massive copper sulphide deposit (British Columbia); wrote reclamation and closure plan for an open pit copper -- gold mine (British Columbia): was involved in acid rock drainage studies for the feasibility studies for a massive nickel sulphide deposit (Newfoundland) and copper porphyry deposit in Panama; and worked at a nickel laterite mine in the Dominican Republic.
Mr. Downing has published papers in journals and books concerning exploration, computing, history, electrochemistry, environmental and technology topics and is a co-author of the online acid rock drainage course offered by Edumine. As a consultant, he is aware of the education of junior companies in regards to meeting standards and their role in the environment and has given presentations to various elementary schools. In 1983, he co-founded a software company for developing commercial geochemical programs for use in the exploration and mining industry. In 1999, he founded a high tech company (MagPower Systems) to develop the magnesium-air technology for use in commercial products. A subsequent spin-off from this technology led to research and development in zinc electrowinning. Mr. Downing has also been involved in and has initiated several research and development projects, some of which have led to patents. During his time with the software and technology companies, he was involved in promotions and marketing. He has been involved with several junior mining companies as a CEO, director, and consultant. He presently sits on the Geoscience Committee of the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC and is a member of several professional organizations. In 1997 the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists presented him with the Chris Westerman Award, which is the highest geoscience recognition.
Mr. Robb has 46 years of international mining experience, with extensive experience in the areas of management, design, construction and operations. He is currently an Independent Consulting Engineer providing management and mining engineering services to firms worldwide and a Director of Stratabound Minerals Corp. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho, a Registered Professional Engineer in Arizona, Maine, Nevada and New Mexico and has authored nine technical papers and is co-author of one patent and one reference book. He is a Registered Member of the SME, a member of the Professional Engineers Examination committee and a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. He is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Colonel.
Mr. Byberg has 43 years of international mining experience in Canada, USA, Mexico, Greece, Australia and the Philippines, with extensive public company experience in the areas of management, production and operations.
He has been: Founder and Vice President of Mining for Chieftain Metals, Inc; Founder, President and CEO of Silver Eagle Mines, Inc.; President and Chief Operating Officer of Philippine Gold; General Manager for Exall Resources; General Manager for TVX in Northern Quebec and Greece; and General Manager for Royal Oak in Yellowknife, NWT.
Mr. Byberg began his career, in 1972, with the Dome Group in Red Lake where, during a 17 year period, he worked as a Surveyor and Ventilation Engineer, Miner, Shift Boss, Training and Safety Superintendent, Assistant Mine Superintendent and Mine Superintendent. Still within the Dome Group he transferred to Detour Lake Mine, based in Timmins Ontario, where he was the Production Superintendent from 1988 thru 1990.
Mr. Byberg is a Graduate of the Haileybury School of Mines.
Graham Eacott has served as a director of New Carolin Gold Corp and GGL Resources Corp. Graham brings a perspective to Jaeger Resources that has been built on a solid foundation of over 40 years of diversified international experience in the mining and financial industries. This includes company management and business development, private placement financings, financial analysis, investor relations, corporate governance and compliance, and consulting engineering. Prior to retiring in 2007, Mr. Eacott was Vice President of Investor Relations for Century Mining Corporation, Tamerlane Ventures Inc., and Royal Oak Mines Inc. Mr. Eacott spent four years in the investment industry as a highly ranked base metals analyst with Scotia Capital, Merrill Lynch and Maison Placements in Toronto and is a graduate of the Canadian Securities Course.
